How this Leo Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse Changes Everything

Full Moon. Blue Moon. Blood Moon. Super Moon.

In perfect Lioness fashion (the archetypes of the Star, the Performer, and the Drama-Queen), Leo gives us a lunar act we haven’t seen for over 150 years. In fact, just a few minutes after this Full Moon takes center stage in Leo at 6:27 am MST, a total Lunar Eclipse ensues.  

But what does it all mean? Let’s break it down, shall we?

• A Super Moon is a full moon whose orbit is at its closest proximity to Mama Earth.
• A Blue Moon is the second full moon we see in one month (Jan 1st was our last one).
• A Blood Moon is a total lunar eclipse in which the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon, creating a lunar dance of shadow and light that collapses the full 29.5-day cycle of the Moon to a several-hour period. What is the significance of this? We have a glorious, greatly magnified opportunity to release what no longer serves our life, removing blockages, completing karmic agreements and clearing trauma, all which can happen immediately rather than years (or lifetimes). Interested? Heck to the YES.

The Support is immense and promises not to hold back for those who want to see and hear and those who are ready to move.

At its core, this Moon is about power, creation and illumination, themes we will continue to see play out during 2018 as a new understanding of our personal power is emerging in the way we direct our lives.  

Eclipses and their effects on our awakening are powerful. The skies open and a portal of energy allows us to connect to the Star and Creator parts of ourselves that know anything is possible.

And while every person on this planet will receive this energy, those of us who work consciously with it will have the opportunity to deeply impact how our lives move forward and what we will consciously move towards.

HOW TO WORK WITH THIS ECLIPSE

TIME FOR COMPLETION. In your inner practice, meditation, or ritual ceremony, have a clear and focused intention about what it is you want to release. This is a Full Moon for COMPLETION.

What are you done with? What ways of being and living are you complete with?

TIME TO REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE. The Leo archetypes of the Queen and the King speak and their words become the law of the land—that’s how powerful WE are. Take some time to breathe and reconnect with the part of you that knows your divinity, feeling the warmth and joy of your own golden light.

Your beliefs, thoughts, emotions and words matter, each one a seed of creation. Therefore, choose wisely as they do reflect the world in which you live. 

TIME TO RELEASE. This Full Moon allows us the opportunity to heal karmic agreements, offering deeper levels of our sacred potential to be released, remembered and lived.

Where have you felt powerless in your life to create change?
Where are you hurting right now?
What emotional blocks remain, preventing you from investing in intimate relationships with others?
Where do you need completion in a relationship, in an old story, in money matters,
in overcoming a limiting belief?
Who do you need to forgive?
What do you need to forgive yourself for?
What agreements and obligations need to end?

ANYTHING can be transformed through the power of your intent. Are you ready to release any programs you are running that are attached to suffering or struggle?

Yes, suffering can serve a higher purpose if we mine the gifts of the painful experiences we have had AND please understand that we can create from a joy-filled, love-infused paradigm as well.

Write out your list of what you would like to release, what completions you are asking for and what areas are calling for forgiveness.

If you can, safely burn that list on the day or night of the Full Moon, asking for gentleness in the process of releasing and completing. Because we experience a full cycle of the Moon (full moon to new to full) within the eclipse, your intention to release and complete is exponentially magnified. Enjoy the freedom of your completions with the past.

HOW LEO SHOWS UP IN THE CREATIVE PROCESS (HINT: EVERYWHERE!!)

Leo energy is connected to the element of fire, an energy that needs to express itself. Leo wants to shine–full on, full power.

Leo is here to mentor us in how to play with the creative process, a process we have come here to master, so we can know ourselves as the beautiful Creators we are.

Leo energy teaches us to let the archetype of the Child (our Inner Child) come out and play, for when the Child is allowed to shine, she teaches others, he models for others how to create through joy and wonder.

STEP ONE: IMAGINATION RULES THE LAND. What is it you desire? What do you want to create? Do you desire to embody prosperity consciousness, start your own business, write a book, have a greater impact in this world, find a romantic relationship, enjoy radiant well-being, fully express your intuitive gifts? What gets you excited, those juices flowing?

Write it all down. Your intentions expressed through your vision ignite the creative genius and the creative process in you. Are you willing to open up to this type of transformation?

Now take a moment to connect to your breath, infusing your body with the energy of the possibility of your vision and anchor the feeling—even for a few moments.

Understand that simply by you tapping into the creative powers of your imagination and having experienced the positive emotions generated by the simplest act of contemplating these desires, each one is available to you.

What takes us out of the flow of this process—even at the beginning stages—is our negative self-image. We forget we hold the energy of the Queen, the King and the Creator within us.

We might not believe we are enough or do not embody the self-worth to think that these dreams could ever find their way to us. The discrepancy between the desired goal and the “reality” of a situation or a relationship feels too wide, so fear and self-doubt kick in.

Call on the courageous Leo heart of the Lion. Persist and commit to transcend this testing ground designed by our ego and our subconscious—and to do so easily and effortlessly. Believe that you can.

Love yourself, love your dream. Be proud of your imagination—even if you are just in the beginning stages of what lights you up.

Leo, the archetype of the Artist and the Performer, likes to be admired for his creativity, her dramatic flair.  Delight in how creative you are. Again, sit in the wonder and the question of how your vision might come to you because it is possible. Go on to the next step.

STEP TWO: THE POWER OF A QUESTION. Since your imagination has shown you a vivid vision for your life, ask yourself with an insatiable curiosity: how is this possible?

Our mind loves to seek out answers, so it will shower us with ideas about how we can move towards our goals. Thank this conscious part of your mind that allows you the joy of brainstorming the possibilities.

BUT REMEMBER THIS ONE IMPORTANT KEY:  The conscious mind is the smallest part of the creation process, representing only 5-15% of what it is we actually know.

Since this part of our mind will look for the patterns in what we’ve done and what others have done, we might not see how we can narrow the gap between the dream and the reality. We may become stuck in the fear and self-doubt instead, throwing us even further off the path.

But at this point, we must remind ourselves who we are in this process–the Star, the Creator, and the Magician, who understand that fear is an illusion as much as it is a teacher, reminding us the real lesson is that the energy we are vibrating at will align us to our beautiful dreams.

Staying in higher vibrational states as much as possible and taking care to develop beliefs thoughts, and emotions that bring us joy and greater possibility are necessary steps in matching the energetic vibration of our beautiful, exciting dreams.

Like attracts like and when we can hold positive emotional states we are preparing the space to receive what we have called forth.

Engage in activities that bring you pleasure—the creative process is meant to delight you. A long bath. A luxurious stretch. A funny movie. A home-cooked meal. A conversation with a friend. A gym workout. A meditation. A thousand words of free-flowing, free-loving writing. Making love, making art, making music.

STEP THREE: THE POWER OF ACTION. Our conscious mind will have some ideas in what steps to take, our friends and family will be eager to share their insights, but the process of creation wants you to look at your options and what your emotions are saying about them.

When we are taking the time to connect to our Higher, Wiser Self in our regular inner practice, we begin to receive inspiration and intuitive hits about where to go, how to act and to whom to speak.

So we act—sometimes we move forwards, sometimes backwards. Other times we find ourselves at a wall we just can’t seem to pass. Our progress is now seemingly halted when we don’t hear back from a contact, we lose a job, we become sick, our creative gifts are rejected or a potential relationship abruptly ends.

Surrender to the process. Feel the gratitude that you live in a loving Universe who knows a kinder, more beautiful, more fulfilling way.

Go back to the Inner Drawing Board in your quiet time. Ask for the next steps to be shown, remembering the fact that you are excited about your dreams means they are possible. Pay attention to your feelings about the new direction. Whatever brings you joy and excitement is your next step. Take it. This is how you and the creative process roll.

STEP FOUR: THE POWER IN THE VERTICAL VIEW.  What else is possible?

This Leo energy has an affinity for accessing higher levels of consciousness—angels, fairies, and other multi-dimensional beings. This gift is amplified when you have a dream—higher levels of consciousness will show up to help you create your desires.

Use your imagination within a meditation to invoke one of these beings and ask for their support. Once again, our conscious mind in isolation is extremely limited in being able to see the vertical view of how to manifest a different reality, so surrender to the higher plan for your life, trusting that a benevolent Universe, your Higher, Wiser, Kinder Self knows a way that will far surpass your original dreams.

The Leo in all of us truly shines and serves when we understand that we are the creative process personified the moment we are born. It is our mission in this lifetime to remember our power, identify, develop and use our gifts to make a difference in this world. Otherwise, we spend our lives denying who we authentically are.
